BIO: Tim Pottorff, MEng., ARM, CIE, is an ergonomics and risk management professional serving diverse industries across North America and beyond for over 30 years. He is recognized for his expertise in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and the integration of ergonomics principles into workplace design, particularly within the manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing and technology sectors.

DESCRIPTION: This session will take participants around the world of ergonomics, discuss current trends in the science of ergonomics, and potentially slay some sacred cows.

OBJECTIVE TAKE AWAYS:

• Demonstrate the status (and use) of AI, robotics, and exoskeletons in the science of ergonomics, and be able to identify the differences
• Participants will be able understand the current “state” of ergonomics regulations in the US and its major trading partners, detailing implementations.
• The session will provide the importance of performing detailed ergonomics analyses before the implementation of job rotation programs
• Attendees will be able identify the impact of work-related MSDs beyond workers compensation claims and premiums for best practices
